Join the Moiola PTA!

This year’s goals of the California State PTA are (copied from the California State PTA website, www.capta.org):

• To position the PTA, a volunteer membership organization, as the leading advocate on current and evolving issues and concerns affecting children and families.
• To create meaningful connections with members to speak with one voice for all children and families.
• To create opportunities for identifying and developing emerging leaders who reflect California's diverse population.
• Those of you who were able to join the PTA this year will help us in reaching these goals, as well as some of our own.  We appreciate everyone’s participation in this endeavor and hope all of you can join us at our PTA meetings to discuss the future of our school.

If possible, please visit both the National (www.pta.org) and California PTA websites.  You can sign up for a monthly newsletter and surf around all of the information.

Other Ways to Help Moiola's Kids:

We are all fortunate our children go to such a great school. Unfortunately, because of state cutbacks, Moiola doesn't always get the funding it needs. This year Moiola had a paper shortage, which is something a school should never have to deal with. Next year it is supposed to get even worse. Here's how you can help:

• Many employers have matching programs. Some companies offer a donation matching program where they will match every dollar donated by the employee to Moiola through though for example, an Employee Contributions Program.
• You can also give Moiola monetary donations directly. You can even specify if you want the money to go to a certain program.
• Another way to donate is to purchase an item from the teacher's wish list, which is located in the front office, or you can purchase any basic supplies and let Moiola determine how the supplies are used.
• Of course, donating your time is always appreciated and your children learn valuable lessons about helping out
