Moiola PTA Job Descriptions
**To nominate a candidate for any of the following positions please contact Laura Flores at (714) 963-5377, cell: (714) 814-4690. BOARD POSITIONSPTA PresidentThe president shall preside at all meetings; The president may create and appoint special committees as necessary subject to ratification of the association. The president is responsible for overseeing all areas of the Moiola PTA.
PTA Executive Vice PresidentThe executive vice president shall be an aide to the president. In absence of the president, the executive vice president shall assume the duties of the president.
PTA 1st Vice President, MembershipThe first vice president shall be responsible for running a membership drive and collecting membership dues. This person will also keep accurate membership records and remit the state's portion of the membership dues to the California PTA.
PTA 2nd Vice President, Ways and MeansThe second vice president shall be responsible for organizing fundraisers, which will pay for the programs provided at Moiola. This person will also be responsible for collecting the money from the fundraisers and giving it to the Financial Secretary to deposit.
PTA 3rd Vice President, ProgramsThe third vice president shall be responsible for organizing programs for the students of Moiola. Some examples of these programs are Math Night, Field Day, Student Assemblies, Science Night, etc.
PTA SecretaryIt shall be the duty of the secretary to keep an accurate account of all meetings; to be prepared to read on call the minutes of any meeting within the past two years
PTA TreasurerThe treasurer shall be responsible for the funds of the Moiola PTA and shall cause to be kept a full and accurate account of the receipts and disbursements in books belonging to the organization. The treasurer shall render a written statement to the association at each meeting and an Annual Report of the financial condition of the organization. The treasurer shall prepare an Annual Report for audit.
PTA Financial SecretaryThe financial Secretary shall give a receipt for all moneys received for the association and deposit the finds in the PTA bank account. The financial secretary with also give a copy of the deposit slip to the treasurer for the association’s records and keep an accurate record of all receipts and payment authorizations for the treasurer’s financial records
PTA HistorianThe historian shall assemble and preserve the record of activities and achievements of the PTA, and assist the president in preparing the Annual Report.
PTA AuditorThe auditor is responsible for the audit the books and financial records of the association. The auditor with also prepare a mid-year and yearend audit in January and July, prepare and present written reports to the executive board, and prepare and present written reports for adoption by the association.
PTA ParliamentarianThis appointed moiola position is responsible for maintaining strict meeting protocols as defined in the PTA Toolkit. Other duties include reviewing and revising the PTA Bylaws established by local, state and national PTA chapters.
